Dog Training Tips – Dog Barking Problems

Dog barking problems can be very bad. Not only for the owner and their own sanity, but also for the neighbors. Barking dogs are very annoying and can cause lots of stress and tension between people. The best solution to this is simply train your dog not to bark!

This, however, can be hard. Many dog owners have no idea even how to train their animal to listen to their commands. And stopping a bark is even harder!

Fortunately, there are resources out there that teach others how to solve this problem. In order to train your dog to listen to you you must find out why your dog does certain things.

When you understand the psychology of your dog, it is much easier to work at fixing the reason and training it to do right instead.

It’s all about positive reinforcement. Negative reinforcements to your animal only lead to more bad behavior or even worse, a very bad dog. The key is to reward them for good behavior and simply ignore their bad behavior. You must be very careful about how you punish your dog. Bad punishments can lead to a dog that hates your guts and wants to escape. Dogs are not dumb. They are social animals and know where they stand in their little community. If you treat them bad they will want out.

Of course, this all depends on your dogs personality.

Successful dog training is realizing that all dogs have a unique, individual temperament to themselves. Their own personality. If you try to train an aggressive and assertive dog the same way you train a shy, timid dog you’re going to fail. That’s like punishing a twelve year old that gets all A’s the same way you would punish a twelve year old that is the school bully.

When you understand the temperament of your dog then you will know how to treat this dog and what the best behavior you should have towards it.
